Tangles can be a real problem but this DIY detangling serum is just what you need, when you have to deal with them. Prevent tangles whenever you can as tangles can cause hair breakage and more. If only it was that easy, right?
Do you know how or why tangles are caused? Tangles could be due to various reasons but predominantly due to friction, dryness and damage. Did you know even rubbing against our clothing can get our locks tangled? Wind is another factor, a reason many use scarves while going for a ride! Even improper styling or brushing can cause tangles.
Damaged hair cuticles can form knots causing tangles. Styling can strip moisture from your strands resulting in tangles. Harsh products, excessive styling or even using a lot of products can cause tangles. Even sleeping with open hair can result in tangles! Did you know these possibilities can actually leave you with a tangled mess?
The good news is you can make detangling easy with this natural DIY detangling serum. It’s also one of the best when using natural ingredients. In my opinion using Marshmallow is great for detangling. You won’t go for anything else after trying this.

How to Use the Detangler?
Shake the bottle well before use.
Spray on your hair liberally and wait for a few minutes, so the detangler can work its magic.
Detangle and style as usual.
Try detangling right after your hair wash – while the hair is still damp, apply the detangler and try detangling with your fingers.
Don’t use a comb, even a detangling comb if that’s not needed. You can detangle with your fingers gently, which considerably reduces breakage or pulling out your hair. Insert your fingers in your hair and gently work your way down.
If you find a problematic spot, work on that by using your fingers to gently pull apart the tangled locks. Spray more detangler if needed.
Divide your hair into sections and work with one section at a time. Once you complete a section tie it up till the entire head is done.
Detangling when slightly wet is easier so try that especially if you have curly hair, or have issues with detangling.
Start at the tips when detangling and work your way up. This makes it easier to detangle and there’s less breakage if any.
It’s important to understand that you must never use too much force or pull too when detangling your hair. This is more important when wet, as your locks are vulnerable and prone to damage or breakage when overdone.
Usage Frequency
You can use this as needed. Though it is intended for detangling, anyone can use this serum to make styling or nourishing their hair easier. If you have curly or wavy hair, you’ll appreciate this detangler more, especially those with curly locks.

This lasts for a month to a month and a half – but keep it refrigerated to prevent mold infestation. If you want you can add a broad spectrum preservative to increase the shelf life.
